Question & Answer: Balancing Secrecy and Honesty

Let us define both of these terms so that we are all on the same path. Honesty means integrity and trustworthiness. You must first be true to you before you can share those values with others. It is vital for one’s self-worth and selfpreservation, to honestly evaluate one’s thoughts, behaviors and beliefs. The key here is not to do, say or act in any way that would harm self, another or the environment

Secrets are those things, words, actions or beliefs that you or someone wants kept from common knowledge. If you have a secret that when shared with others will harm you or another, than it is honestly in your best interest to keep it protected. If, however, you were asked to keep a secret that if not disclosed will create great harm to others and the world order, than it is for the common good that this information must be revealed. I believe that this is the time and opportunity for one to use their common sense and inner consciousness to guide and support your decision. If someone asks you to hold something in confidence and you are not prepared to do so, I suggest that you politely and honestly share you willingness or lack thereof to meet their request.

A powerful statement that I say often to clients is to have open and honest communication with yourself and with others. You must like yourself enough to be true to you. As a result, you will be benefiting all parties. Allow yourself to look in the mirror and give yourself permission to be clear with who you are and what it is you are looking for. When we as members of this world are in our truth and honesty with ourselves, we must look at Who we are, What are we doing each day to make this a better place to live for ourselves and others and why have I come to this planet at this time and place. Then and only then can you stand in your power and say with Whom do I choose to share it with. When you stand in honesty and truthfulness, you will know what best serves you and do what is best for you.

Then you will own the light within you and your energy will flow out in a brilliant way and everyone will benefit.
