Through a series of "coincidences," I was drawn to attend my first ever evening mediumship event with Joan Marie approximately two years ago. Although I did not receive a reading directly, I was very touched by others in the crowd whom Joan Marie spoke to. More than anything, I was moved by her warm, loving Spirit and her desire to truly help and bless others through her work.

I later attended another mediumship evening with Joan Marie and this time was delighted to receive a "hello" from my "Gramma" among other much needed confirmations and decided to book a personal session. I was astonished by the things Joan Marie picked up on. Not only did she confirm Loved Ones who were with me, she also noted the spirit guides I'd been working with (even though I had not mentioned them to her.) She also helped me relieve a tremendous amount of pressure by resolving an issue surrounding a denied medical license which was blocking me from receiving my pilot's license.

It was during this private session Joan Marie confirmed what I had been told my entire life... "you are a healer." She reassured me I was on the right path and that the "veil would be lifted." Prior to this, I shunned doing any kind of intuitive healing work professionally because the "psychics" I had met before Joan Marie had been steeped in ego energy and I did not want to be like them. Joan Marie was different. She was based purely in loving divine light and helped me realize I could use my own gifts with the loving intent to heal!

The year and a half which followed marked an incredible growth spurt in my life. Not only did the veil lift, but doors flew wide open! I got certified by Dr. Doreen Virtue to do Angel Therapy®. During that process, I met my Reiki Master and have now been certified in Reiki Levels 1 and 2. I began work on a Masters in Metaphysical Sciences and a Doctrine of Divinity in Spiritual Counseling. I received certification in Theta Healing and Advanced Theta Healing. I was also ordained as a minister. All the while, my skills continue to open wider and I'm able to help more people.

The next time I saw Joan Marie at one of her evening events she immediately noticed a change in me, asked what I'd been doing, told me I was surrounded by angels and that I was literally glowing! I hadn't even told her I was working with the angels daily ñ in large part thanks to Joan Marie simply being herself and doing what she does best, setting a wonderful example for other intuitives and healers!

Joan Marie's readings continue to prove incredibly accurate. I am most grateful for her not only shifting my perspective of what it means to be a psychic, medium, or healer, but in that shift, helping me accept and embrace my own gifts and abilities to help others. Joan Marie is truly a blessing to anyone who receives the opportunity to work with her either through one on one sessions or the evening of mediumship events.

I just experienced a mass reading in a Theatre in Hollywood. I loved how down-to-earth (ironic?) you were. Your presentation wasn't hocus-pocus-y and it was refreshing to experience a reading--(something so abnormal) from such a sweet, cute, sincere, and normal person. (when you first appeared on stage I thought you were just the MC) None of that "Miss Cleo" or "Madam Eldonza" crystal ball gypsy crap. I also appreciated that you got right down to business and seemed to demystify the process. You made the miracle of your communication seem natural and thereby more accessible for those of us witnessing it.

You also didn't try to cover-up or make things "fit" for people when they didn't. Joan Marie appeared with us via phone as a guest on our our special 'Halloween Morning Zone' show. We were broadcasting live from the world famous 'haunted' Stanley Hotel in Estes Park, Colorado where Stephen King became inspired to write 'The Shining' and where the ABC miniseries of the same name was filmed. While talking with us, we asked her if she could had ever been to The Stanley or read about it. She told us she had never been there and only had read a little on it. We then asked her if she could sense any of the many spirit apparitions known to haunt the hotel just in talking with us during the bradcast. At that point she said she, indeed, did feel a presence. She then described, in detail, the ghost of the Earl of Dunraven, one of the more mischievous, spirits whose apparition has been seen and/or experienced by staff and guests at the hotel with absolutely no prompting from us. Her description of this fellow was nearly perfect, right down to to his bald pate and the smell of his well know cigars and his love of whiskey. We had seen an old photo of him hanging in the lobby and read of him in the hotel brochure. Joan Marie is THE REAL THING!!! She is fabulous!

Hello Joan Marie, I came to your group last night,not sure what it was about or why I was drawn to come. I just caught the end of Randy's radio show and your name just stayed with me all day. I just wanted to thank you for easing the pain of the loss of my son, Joshua. It was so helpful to learn he is finally at peace and to know he is not alone. I have been worried he might be lost, alone, or worse. His passing has been the hardest thing I have ever gone through, and each morning, I wake up only to feel the grief come crushing down again. Knowing he is happy and in a better place is so very comforting to me. You mentioned last night Josh was whispering in John's ear, John is my husband and it is his parents that have passed. Dear Joan Marie,

Meeting you and your wonderful Mom and attending your lecture at the Mother Earth Expo was mind opening. I was further amazed when I visited your booth and had a reading. My hour long reading on November 20th made me realize how extremely fortunate I am to have met you.

I'm sure you receive many " thank you " emails and I am among those who cannot thank you enough. You have given me peace, closure to issues,and a strong desire to "perfect" my soul and fill my life's purpose.

When we spoke on the phone and I said you were awesome you refused to take any credit and instead credited my family. Yes, I too think they are incredible but so are you! Doing what you do must be so draining and so difficult. You say no , but I am sure it is an enormous load, knowing the pain suffered by so many and seeing it day after day and hour by hour.

I just pray to Almighty God that He give you the strength to continue your work. You posses the highest degree of integrity, honesty, patience and love . You have to. He wouldn't give a gift like yours to just anyone!

You have helped many of my friends and co workers. Every day it seems someone I know has had a reading with you , or scheduled one. Each has found a peace. Each has changed. The tension that was once prevalent in my department is gone.

Let me tell you how wonderful God is! I have to share my testimony today that tells me there could not have been anything but heavenly intervention! God truly works in mysterious ways. It starts with the session I had with Joan Marie who had messages for me from my Father whom I've never met in person since he died two months before my birth in 1955. Joan Marie told me things that were so on target. Things she could not have possibly known since she had never met me in person and I hadn't offered any information to lead her. She described my Father physically, talked about his love for basketball, about Roller Skating with my Mom and how she used to always fall down, he mentioned our family reunion, has bad heart, my daughter and how smart and beautiful she is as a person, how I look like my Mom but have his mouth and laugh. And the most important message to me and what I'd always felt in my heart and only wanted to confirm, was that my Father has been a constant guardian angel for me and my daughter. And that is only a sampling of what she told me. It was truly an amazing session. Now let me say here that I definitely had my reservations about speaking with Joan Marie since I grew up believing that it is wrong to dabble with the spirit world and that you can only open yourself up to evil. That such is from the Devil, and not from God. I didn't believe my Mother would approve because she has advised me not to do such things in the past. But my desire to know something about my Father's love for me has been so strong in most recent years that I prayed and prayed to God that he would block any evil and know my heart and my reasons for wanting to have this phone session. I asked God for a clear answer as to whether or not I should go through with this thing. I got what I felt was a clear answer the very next morning when I decided to read the flyer again about a group meeting on December 11th with Joan Marie. I noted that the flyer said a Presbyterian Church was sponsoring this group session. I reasoned that that was my answer to my prayer and request for an answer. Surely, a church would not sponsor her work, if it were evil. So I went through with the session and I have felt such a joy and completeness since that I can't quite put into words. My session was on a Tuesday night and I waited impatiently until Friday evening to receive the tape of our session in the mail. I wanted to listen again and I was also anxious to share the tape with my Mom. I needed my Mom to confirm some of the things Joan Marie had said since I really didn't know for myself. Not only was my Mother receptive but she was also amazed by what she heard and able to confirm the things Joan Marie said that I'd questioned. Now let me tell you about another strange turn of events. The mailman came late in the afternoon that Friday. When I first checked the mailbox the tape hadn't come. But I heard the mailman come at about 4:30pm so I checked the box again and my tape was there! Going to my Mother's house on Friday evening is something I very rarely do. But I couldn't wait so my daughter and I headed to my Mother's house with the tape. I noticed when I turned off the main route that there'd been a car accident on the wrong side of the road and this car was facing the on coming traffic. I pointed it out to my daughter and wondered how that car even got over there? But we headed on to my Moms. My Mom thought it was my Step Father coming home from work and was surprised to see Kyla and me. But I went on to tell my Mom about my session and we listened to the tape until after about 45 minutes she stopped and realized that my Step Father was still not home and that was not like him. We called his job but he was long gone they said. We drove to his job but didn't see his car. I remembered the accident I'd seen earlier but didn't want to mention it to my Mom at that point because I didn't want to frighten her more than she already was. We went back to the house and Dad still wasn't there. By this time my Mom was really nervous! I called the Police and they took the info and said they would callback. The Police called back a few minutes later and told me my Dad had been in a minor car accident and was taken to the Hospital. My Step Father had a seizure while driving home from work and crashed his car. He was involved in the very accident that I'd seen. When we got to the Hospital we found that my Dad didn't have a scratch on him! He continued to have seizures in the ER so he was admitted but it could have been worse! Thank God he was not hurt and didn't hurt anyone else!! Thank God I was there with my Mom when all this happened, because if it hadn't been for wanting my Mom to hear the tape, I would not have been there to help my Mother when she needed me. See how things worked out! That is nothing but God's work! I am so full today! So convinced of God's love. So convinced that God hears and answers prayer. So convinced that my Father watches over my daughter and me. And so convinced that my session with Joan Marie was not the wrong thing to do but was meant to happen. Praise God!! ---Leslie D. Hart

Hi Joan Marie, I just finished the Treasure Chest meditation on your CD and, being that the railroad is just beyond my backyard and it comes every 15 minutes. Well, it interrupted me about where the pink light surrounds you and I thought that it was going to ruin the experience. However, I continued with the CD but a tiny thought of the meditation being ruined was at the back of my mind, and I kept thinking the next time, the train won't interrupt me and it'll be better. When I got to the treasure chest on the left, and I put all my situations inside and made it go far, far out to sea in the beautiful turquoise water, it filled up with water and sank! I knew without a doubt at that moment that I would be able to overcome my present difficulties. I walked out of the water back to the beach to the glowing gold treasure chest and when I looked inside, I actually began to feel tears of joy rolling down my cheek. How wonderful I felt at that moment: inside I saw my three gifts. I expect the meditation will become deeper as I use it more and more. I believe that this exercise will greatly assist me to release that energy block around my heart chakra, along with the breathing technique you gave me. I can't thank you enough for the help you've given me through your kindness, insight and your wonderful gift. Hi Joan Marie, I want to share with you what happened to me after I spoke to you on the radio last week. I did what you suggested about the breathing, and as I was doing the deep abdominal breathing with my hands over my heart chakra, I pictured a forceful green light pulsing into the chakra for several minutes and then a white light to clean out what the green light had opened up and I repeated this for 20 minutes. Now for me to sit and meditate for 20 minutes in itself is a miracle because I have a bad lower back and whiplash in my neck. I slept on my back the whole night and woke up and got up from my bed with no pain whatsoever in my back. Usually, I take about 20 steps before I can straighten up fully. The next day I experienced an abundance of energy, which is also unusual for me. Of course, the next evening I had to take my handicapped father to K-Mart for a 19" TV/VCR and carried it out to the car and attached it to the trunk, so there went the back again. But I haven't experienced a lack of pain in that area in decades. I just thought you would appreciated knowing this. God love you! Broni My first session with Joan Marie Whelan was incredible. I can honestly say it changed my life. It helped put some things in perspective that I would have had no way of doing on my own. The workshop was awesome!! I really wanted to call you to thank you and your Mom for a great afternoon. I know I left the workshop with a renewed spirit and from talking to my friends they did also. Just a side note, Sunday, the day after the workshop, early in the morning before I got out of bed, I did the grounding exercise, and waited to hear from the Universe. The name St. Agatha came to me. After I remembered during the workshop when you mentioned you work with saints, I thought to myself, I wonder who I work with. Now here is the cool part, I know nothing about saints, or even know most of their names. I looked up the information on the Internet and found that the Memorial Day for Saint Agatha is February 5th, which is also my birthday. On top of that, during her life she endured horrible torture, one of which this ruler in 1909 had her breast removed. She is the patron saint of nurses, breast cancer, victims...Now, during my regression, the angels stated my power was in my chest. I was just floored! The Universe truly speaks when you listen. I am writing in response to a seminar I attended. I was truly enlightened by the experience. Having previously heard some of the content and having used some of it, this time around I was even more attuned to what was being said. The last part of the session with Joan's daughter was an eye-opening adventure. So much so that I had Joan come to my home for a reading. Not knowing what to expect I was apprehensive at first. However Joan's attentive and caring nature relaxed me completely. The reading was phenomenal. She was able to communicate with my Guardians and importantly with family members who I so desperately needed to confirm some important questions that weighted heavily on my heart. This revelation, so heart warming to hear, brought me great joy. The final mediation was an incredible experience. Having done meditation before I had never experienced anything like I did that day. My entire being moved, I actually felt as though I moved my position and Joan was sitting opposite me. I was shocked to learn that no one moved when I opened my eyes. I had the privilege of meeting with Joan Marie in March of this year. Before even sitting down to do our reading, Joan, in her enthusiastic and genuine manner, was able to “see” a project that I had been working on for over a year. Instantly, she gave me the courage and motivation that I needed to complete what I was doing and I am happy to report that my full length movie screenplay is now finished and copy written. What makes my situation compelling is that this work is a new phase in my life. I am a married mother of three and writing was never really something I thought of pursuing. For the longest time, I thought I was crazy to even think that I could undertake something so different. But Joan saw past my insecurities and doubts and told me that yes indeed, there was a purpose for my work. She even showed me the “goose bumps” on her arm, indicating the level of excitement from the universe! Even more profound was Joan’s description of my follow up projects. I note this as profound because at the time, I had no idea that there was a follow up project! “BOOKS” she said, “geared towards children and young adults, and they will be used as a teaching tool. “ I had not even finished my screenplay and now she was talking about books? But that’s the beauty of this type of experience. Think of your future as pieces of a puzzle floating around you. Joan’s gift is being able to see the big picture and help put those puzzle pieces where they should be so that we can make the most of our creative power. I am happy to report that a book is in the works!

The other portion of my reading which was so emotionally important involved my mother and father in law. My husband grew up in Lebanon during the civil war. His mother died when he was only 9 years old and his father passed when he was 19 years old. I have seen pictures and heard stories about them during our marriage, but I was always curious. Did they “approve” of me? Were they supportive of my husband’s decision to stay in the US instead of returning to Lebanon? To hear that my mother in law loved and honored me, keeps an eye on my children, and supported and respected my husband’s choice to stay in the US was comforting beyond words. According to Joan, who by the way described my mother in law’s physical appearance to a “T”, she is in my home, she enjoys the red flowers in our garden and even comes with us to the beach to put her feet in the water and watch my children play. Before I could even question Joan about the feet in the water comment, she told me, “yes, she was afraid of this during her life, but she has healed considerably since passing on and now actively seeks out that which makes her happy.” I was breathless. Not only did I have my questions about her answered, I actually felt like I knew her. I have no doubts she is in my home bringing peace, feeling joy and looking after us all. Even my husband who is an engineer and admitted skeptic in these things, was shocked by Joan’s revelations. Initially he was reluctant to believe, but once I told him about Joan’s description of the way his mother “sat with her hands folded together over her stomach,” during our reading, he knew….. that was her.

Though these two aspects of my reading may seem unrelated, they are not. To me, Joan’s gift enables us to hear that those who have passed on not only still love and care for us, but are active participants in helping us achieve our goals and finding that in life which makes us happy. Many times during our reading, Joan stated that “the universe” was anxious to see me finish my projects. When I have times of doubt or exasperation, I try to get some quiet time and reach out to them for help and guidance. More often than not, signals and messages are sent. The reading with Joan helped me to recognize those signs and make the most of them. This reading was truly a turning point in my life.
