West Coast Bound …

I am only in New York City until mid December before I head back to the West Coast for the rest of the year!  For as long as I have had my apartment here in NYC - 10 years - I always put up a Christmas tree in my home.  I am one who enjoys a big, full Christmas tree right after Thanksgiving and keeps it up until New Years Day.  I love the Holidays and go all out every year.  As I have been working this past week in NYC I was really missing having a tree.  My Soul, the little girl in me really wanted a tree.  It was like clockwork for me, Thanksgiving is over and my child within is expecting her tree with all the trimmings. This seemed to be a tug-o-war within me all week.  As I was working away in my apartment I kept thinking how great would it be to enjoy a tree; smelling the wonderful scent and looking at the bright colorful lights with ornaments on the tree.  Have you ever spent time thinking of something over and over again?   Well, it seems that I could not get over not having a tree in my home for the next couple of weeks.  I left Thursday for Philly for my event, (chat more about that later) and then yesterday, December 1st I left Philly to go to my friend’s engagement party in Connecticut.  When the engagement party was winding down I asked my friend Cheryl if she wanted to go with me to buy a tree.  At this point my Soul won, as she should.  Your Soul is the piece in you, who is always in alignment with your good.  I was all ready to get my tree and Meredith, my friend whose party we were at, came over to say, “Can you please come back to the house for a while.” Well, I was excited to go to Meredith’s parent’s home but I wanted my tree so we said, “Sure, but I have to get a tree so your dad needs to tell us where to buy a tree with all my trimmings.”

I never made it to the store in Connecticut. You will know why in the next blog.
