Create the Change You Want to Happen

Saturday, September 8th, 2007

Henry Ford once said, “If you think you can, you will…if you think you can’t, you won’t.” There is deep value in these words of wisdom. How many times have you asked, “What if?” We always seem to ask that question after we have already given up before we even start something new.

There have been many an individual who gave up on living, and subsequently died. Not because they wanted to die, but because they stopped living. One can literally “will” himself toward sometimes incredible changes – both negative and positive.

There once was a gentleman who constantly worried. One day, he incessantly worried about the ice in a parking lot. “Be careful,” he said, “you’ll fall and break your ribs.” Individuals should exercise caution, but he took it to extremes. Over and over, he repeated how one would not only fall but that they would break their ribs as well. Guess what? He, himself, took a tumble and broke two of his ribs on the ice. Inadvertently, he had “willed” this on himself.

Another case is an individual who wanted to make quick cash. He didn’t care how he got it, just that he wanted it. He even went so far as to saying, “I wish someone would pull out and hit me,” speaking in regards to a car accident, where he could make fast cash. One day, he was involved in a car accident that nearly took his life. You see, when we arbitrarily “wish” for something, we must be careful for what we are wishing. You never know what you’re going to get. So, choose your wills and wishes carefully.

A great example of the human “will” or spirit is in the case of Ludwig van Beethoven. Did you know that Beethoven began losing his hearing in his early 20s? Now, most individuals might believe that this incidence would be tragic to a great musical composer. Instead, Beethoven’s will was so strong that not only did he continue to produce well-known masterpieces, but he created them when he was entirely deaf.

Then there are other cases, still, where human beings have overcome unbelievable tragedy through the determination of the human spirit and will. Like Henry Ford said, “If you believe you can, you will…If you believe you can’t, you won’t.” It’s all relative.

To create the change you want to become, you must first believe it. You must have faith in your Divine intuition and always choose your wishes accordingly. If you want to own a home, you must believe that you are capable of owning it. When you do, you begin to work harder to achieve this goal, and acquiring your home is not so far out of reach. If you want to land a good-paying job, you must believe that you are capable of attaining it. Once you do, your step is a bit livelier, your communication skills are fine-tuned, and your presence is positively unbeatable. Remember, however, change doesn’t happen overnight. It’s something at which you must work. When you finally realize that creating the change you want to become is necessary, your Divine intuition embraces your will and the human spirit within you begins to follow your destiny’s roadmap to success, wellness and happiness.

Slow Down, Stop, Breathe, and Tap Into Your Divine Self to Achieve Success

Saturday, September 8th, 2007

Often times, we fall into the drama of life. Rather than valuing what is right in front of us, we seek what others have…and in doing so, we put blocks in the way of achieving the destiny that has already been mapped out for us.

You see, we really can become our worst own enemy. At times, we over-correct ourselves in order to attain success. For example, picture cruising down a two-lane road. As you’re driving along, the sun is shining; the skies are blue…and then out of nowhere, comes a stray animal or another vehicle…you swerve to miss the object, but in doing so, you over-correct to maintain control of your vehicle. Many times, it is this over-correction that leads to dire consequences.

Slow and Easy: It is better to slow down and truly enjoy the world that surrounds us. It is also more simplified when we give ourselves enough time to manage any roadblocks that come our way… we must simply stop and take a deep breath.

Life can throw us a monkey wrench now and then; as in the scenario above. How we respond to the event is what determines the outcome. Instead of “reacting,” one should become proactive. This doesn’t mean you should toss out your ambitions. This could not be further from the truth; instead, one should come to an understanding that our Divine Self (psychic intuition) is what is in absolute control of our lives. We are quick to let our physical being rule our Divinity, and our destiny. And this is where we run into blockages.

Slow down.

Stop.

Breathe.

Your Divine self is calling you.

Think back to a time when you were trying to achieve a job promotion, find the love of your life or maybe just trying to resolve a problem. Now, when you reflect on this or some other similar mission, how did you do it? Did you turn it into a “chore,” or did it “just happen?” This is where the lines get fuzzy. Here we go over-correcting again, trying to make something happen. Instead of finding the joy in the task, we try too hard and we often create an environment of negativity in the act of doing so. Do any of the following statements apply to you?

“I’ll never find the woman of my dreams.”

“No matter what I do, I won’t get a promotion.”

“Why can’t I have what she has?”

“I’m sick of picking up the slack for everyone else around here.”

Because we are over-correcting in our lives, we find faults and non-value in the things that we do. We become hypercritical, instead of happily proactive. Our Divine Self is always there, always proactive. It is telling us that to realize our goals and dreams; we must slow down, stop and breathe. Listen to your Divine Self and allow it to guide you in everything that you do. You will be quite surprised at the outcome.

For some, relinquishing control to the Divine Self is not easy. That means that we have to listen and learn. Your Divine Self will allow you to distinguish the difference between external circumstances and internal ones. In other words, there are some things that are within our control, and some things that aren’t. The Divine Self in you makes you proactive to situations, and permits you achieve your goals with ease. Slow down, stop and breathe. Tap into your Divine Self and you will achieve success.

Psychic Intuition - Debunking the Myths

Saturday, September 8th, 2007

Skeptics have often wondered how psychic intuition works. Is it real, or isn’t it? Well, allow me to elaborate on what exactly “psychic intuition” is: For starters, every human being – man, woman and child, is born with a certain level of “psychic intuition.” Most of the population isn’t even aware of this innate power, which each and every one of us possesses.

The key to revealing our psychic intuition is not very difficult. The lines of intercommunication are easily opened by freeing ourselves to the present moment of absolute awareness. Confused yet? It truly is as easy as it seems, but we often close ourselves by letting our physical reality to get into the way.

Psychic intuition is not always about seeing into the future or fortune-telling like we frequently see on old television films and on novelty shows. No, psychic intuition stems from the God (and good) within us. Have you ever done or said something that you know you shouldn’t have? Suddenly, there’s that little voice in our mind reminding us of why we shouldn’t do or say something, yet once again, we permit our physical actions to control our psychic intuition that is often telling us otherwise. That is just a small part of what psychic intuition is all about.

The physical reality is that what we can physically see, hear, and touch. Our psychic intuition can too be heard, seen and felt – yet it comes from within the core of our soul being, and that is what makes all the difference. When we listen closely, and open ourselves to the infinite energy that we possess, we can then only begin to see our infinite potential right before our very eyes.

Finding the present moment within says to us, “Be still. Be silent. Breathe.” And when we follow our psychic intuition, we open the positive energy fields that allow us to be our true self, and what we are intended to be – in the here and now.

Make Sound Choice

Saturday, September 8th, 2007

10 years ago, I began to realize that it was time for me to use my gifts to help others. I didn’t want to do it…that wasn’t the life that I choose for me!

10 years ago, I was recovering from a serious car accident and living at home with my parents. I remember my frustrations, anger and fears and sharing these emotions with my MOM as I was looking for answers that were going to get me on the path that I wanted to take… to be on TV and in the Theater. I just knew that I had to Keep going…Keep going…Keep going.

But where was I going…at that moment I had no clue and anger seemed to be my closest companion. Then one day, Mom sat with me and said: ” Why don’t you give it a chance…It was obvious to here that the Universe had a plan for my life and she felt that I should, at least, give the Universe a chance to show it to me.

Trust - Trust - Trust was the order of the day

I needed to Trust that my Creator was with me, guiding my path, holding my hand and whispering valuable messages in my head….

Joan Marie, just Keep going…Keep going…

OK, I finally said one day…I will give it a chance, this isn’t my choice…this isn’t what I was expecting to do… this wasn’t something that I gave even 5 seconds thought about…but maybe, just maybe…there is a plan that I have not considered before that just might get me to where I want to go.

So, Yes, God I will give it a chance… I now choose to listen to what you have to say to me… I willingly choose to pay attention.

I choose to design a plan that will get me moving forward.

I choose to accept my gifts and allow them to help others heal and grow.

I went on and on building a foundation, a platform from which I was going to jump start my new life, my new career. Fear was still my constant companion but with the loving support of my MOM and her continual encouragement, I started to take clients.

I spent a great deal of time in meditation to sharpen my gifts; I broadened my knowledge by taking courses and connecting with empowering people. I was seeking the help that I needed and with time, I have gained the confidence that I needed to stand in front of large groups of people to give them the hope and encouragement that I once needed to make a difference in the world.

FOCUS of intention is one of the greatest characteristics that enabled me to plan, grow and succeed.
Where do you focus your attention? Daily… Weekly… Monthly?
What is your intention today? Have you given it any thought?
What are you choosing to do this moment - to set your path in motion?
Keep going… Keep going… Keep going.
We all have serious work to do. Are you prepared? Do you care?
Are you making the right choices?
Many of you have been “trying” for years and are still waiting to “get started” when the time is right.
Stop compromising yourself!
Stop worrying about what others think about you!
Stop “Trying” and Start “Making Sound Choices.”
Has the lack of Positive Results caused strains in your relationships, your career, and your physical well-being?
Don’t put yourself down…instead pick yourself up and “Trust” that there is a plan for you, too.
I know where some of you are right now.
That’s why I’m writing this to you today.
I’m writing this to “YOU”.
NEVER GIVE UP… NEVER GIVE UP… NEVER GIVE UP.
You can DO THIS.
You, too, can take charge of your life.
YOU CAN.
Here’s how I’ve done it and you CAN TOO.
I’VE MADE A DAILY COMMITMENT TO transform my self, mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually.
I have learned to like me and nurture me.
I have never lost my FOCUS and my ATTENTION is always on my end result.
I am now choosing to flow with the Universe…instead of fighting against the tide.
I choose to mix my work with laughter and fun. I am now ready to embrace myself and accept who I am.
The person I was 10 years ago, even 2 years ago, even 1 month ago isn’t the person I am today.
I am constantly growing, evolving and FOCUSING on my GOALS
Do you have a GOAL?
Again, I ask you what are you CHOOSING FOR YOU TODAY?
Don’t be scattered or all over the place.
Make Sound Choices.
Be willing to do something that will improve your skills
Read- Expand your mind - take a chance on you - build your self-confidence
Each and every day…do something that will move you one step closer to your goal.
Learn something new.
Do something.
Meet someone new
Take a small step.

Keep going.
Keep going.
Keep going.

There’s a gift INSIDE OF YOU that’s waiting to be released
TRUST that there is a plan and “Make Sound Choices.”
